"The Anchorage" Holiday Cottage in the Pembrokeshire area on the West Wales coast is constantly being upgraded to keep it to a high standard. But don’t expect a ‘chocolate box’ cottage. Properties in the Pembrokeshire National Park are hard to come by, so the priority for us when we bought it was location and practicality. It is sturdy and practical, rather than picturesque and pretty.

Kitchen & Dining Room

The new fitted kitchen has everything you should need, including electric hob, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. You can open the back door and walk out onto the back lawn for breakfast outside, or you can eat in the dining room.

The dining room is right next to the kitchen, so you can talk and cook at the same time! A large, solid farmhouse-style pine table with 6 chairs allows 6+ seated comfortably.

Lounge

The cosy lounge has a 3-piece suite, wood burning stove, colour TV, DVD and Radio/ CD player.

Bathroom

Upstairs, the bathroom has a nice old bath, an excellent shower (unlimited hot water) and a toilet, sink and heated towel rail.

Bedrooms

The two main bedrooms are a good size, each with walk-in wardrobes. The largest one is next to the bathroom and has a king-size bed - the other one has twin beds which you can push together or keep separate. A travel cot is provided if you need one. The 3rd bedroom has bunkbeds and a built-in cupboard.

The large back lawn slopes up to a wooden decking, from where you can see the sea! This is ideal for evening barbeques, as it catches the evening sun. Beyond that is woodland, with a large rookery (birds not rocks!) and a tree swing which the children will love!

The sizeable front garden is south facing and is separated from the quiet village road by a low wall. There is ample parking for 3 cars.

There is a small building at the back for storage of your beach things (buckets and spades, wetsuits, walking boots, surf boards etc) and for solid fuel for the log burning stove. The tumble dryer is located here.
