Pembrokshire Holiday Cottage, Dale
Dale is a very small Pembrokeshire village of less than 100 houses. It has an attractive seafront and in Tudor times this was a smugglers' village. It may be small, but it has the important things, like an excellent bayside pub, The Griffin, which serves good food and drink, and a lovely, safe little harbour, which provides the base for diving or fishing trips, island excursions, expert sailing / windsurfing / surfing and canoeing tuition for all the family. Dale Sailing Club is very active all summer, and offers short term membership for dinghy, yachting and windsurfing.
The beach at Dale is shingle, with some sand at low tide. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path runs right through the village and there is a little café there and a post office/general stores for basic provisions. Tesco.com will deliver the ‘big weekly shop’ direct to the door if you are too busy on the beach to drive the 20 minutes or so to the big stores in Haverfordwest!
The delightful Welsh village of Dale, Pembrokeshire in West Wales is the center for sailing and watersport activities! Dale has become well known as one of the classic windsurfing venues due to a wide range of sailing conditions along a small stretch of coastline. You will find a wide variety of watersports to enjoy such as:
